Vintage Clothing: Sizing

PRIVACY AND SECURITY

CoolOldStuff uses a secure server for all transactions. If you place an order by credit card, we do not keep your credit card number on file past the time of your purchase. CoolOldStuff does not distribute any customer information (name, address, e-mail) to third parties. Please refer to our privacy statement for details on your privacy while using this website.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Money orders, cashier's checks: Payment in U.S. funds only. Payment MUST be received within 7 days of order placement or the item(s) will be returned to stock. Your order will be shipped upon receipt of payment. PLEASE DO NOT PLACE AN ITEM ON HOLD UNLESS YOU PLAN TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH PAYMENT.
Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express.
Personal checks: Credit cards, money orders and cashier's checks only, please. But we'll work with you: if you really need to pay by check, please contact us.
Paypal: To use Paypal, please email your order request to us.
International Payment Options: We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, money orders in U..S. funds, cashier's checks, and Paypal.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

Shipping within the U.S: We ship USPS. Cost is $5.95 for the first two items and $2.00 each additional item. Certain items have shipping charges included in the total price. These items are marked "Shipping Included". You will not pay additional shipping charges for those items. We generally ship 2 days a week. If you are in a hurry, overnight shipping is available on orders over $40. We will charge a $3 service charge for overnight shipping on top of the actual shipping cost.

Insurance and/or delivery confirmation: Included in shipping charges.

International Shipping: OUR SHOPPING CART IS CURRENTLY FOR USE BY U.S. RESIDENTS ONLY. However, we are happy to ship anywhere in the world. If you live outside the U.S., please email your order request to us. We will reply with shipping charges for your country.

RETURN POLICY

Please read our explanation of item condition and sizing (below) before you order. We want you to be happy with your purchase, so if you have questions, please ask before you order. We try hard to provide good customer service and we'll usually get back to you within 24 hours.

We're sorry, but in order to keep everyone happy, we had to make some changes to our return policy.

All items are sold as-is. Vintage clothing and collectibles almost always show some signs of aging, so unless otherwise noted, do not expect items to be completely flawless. We do our best to describe items. And because a picture does NOT tell a thousand words when it comes to vintage stuff, please, please ask questions! We are usually very quick to respond.
DO NOT RETURN ANYTHING WITHOUT CONTACTING US FIRST. If you return an item without authorization, we will not issue you a refund. Sorry, no exceptions.
YOU MUST CONTACT US within 5 days of receipt of item. Thanks to delivery confirmation, we know when you received the item. We will contact you with return information.
You must return the item(s) in the same condition it arrived to you or we will not issue you a refund.
International orders must be returned within 14 days.
You will be required to pay return shipping and insurance.
Shipping charges are not refundable nor will we reimburse you for return shipping.
Please note: Items ordered after Sept. 7, 2001 and returned will incur a $5 restocking fee. Exchanged items will not incur this fee.
Discounted and sale items can only be returned for credit or exchange.

ITEM CONDITION

Most vintage and antique goods show signs of age. We do our best to describe and photograph each item's condition the best we can. Our items are inspected for wear and breakage. Here's how we categorize an item's condition:

MINT (M): No flaws; perfect condition; may be unused, or slightly used with no visible signs of use.

NEAR MINT (NM): Almost mint, but slightly used.

EXCELLENT (EX): Very minor wear. No breakage or cracks.

VERY GOOD (VG): Wear detectable, but does not detract from the overall integrity of the item. May have several minor flaws.

GOOD (G): Significant wear and tear; flaws detectable.

FAIR (F): Major flaws throughout the piece.

VINTAGE CLOTHING

SIZING. We try to take accurate measurements of our clothing. We go by measurement of garments LAID FLAT, not by the size on the tag. This is because sizing varies widely, and vintage clothing sizes tend to be smaller than today's sizes. We also provide an estimate of the size (small, medium, etc.) on the catalog pages to make it easier for you to find items. THESE ARE ONLY ESTIMATES - ALWAYS GO BY THE ITEM MEASUREMENTS! Make sure you know your measurements so you won't be disappointed if it doesn't fit! As a general rule, you should be about an inch smaller than the measurement of the clothing.
