Big Score! #2

by Linda Ferguson

Here's where we display our favorite finds.

This Big Score is a 1960s-70s bar that served as an Elvis shrine. There was a photo of Big E atop one of the square-shaped highback stools when I bought it. It would be right at home in a finished basement or would we Baltimorons call a Club Room. I believe this was one that could be ordered from a Sears or Wards catalog and put together, but I'm not sure...

Anyway, the bar is made of button-tucked crimson vinyl and shiny chrome. The swivel chairs have plastic backs and the same red vinyl and they are very comfortable. The only thing that needs work are the steel chair posts which need a quick repainting. All of this for a mere 50 bucks! Hey, that's a bargain when you consider these things go for $300 and up in swanky retro shops!
